Tacos, tequila and Frogger ... ain’t nothing wrong with that.

DK Effect, the new bar arcade at 1600 E. Third St in the Huffman Historic District, is teaming up with its neighbor, Taqueria Mixteca, for weekly Taco and Tequila Parties from 5 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday nights.

DK Effect co-owner Josh Brown said Kim Green, the business manager, has worked up seven unique margaritas, including the cucumber-and-jalapeno flavored Frogger and the Surgarita, which uses Surge pop instead of lime juice.

Margaritas are $7 with the option to upgrade tequila for an additional price.

Flights of margaritas colored for the ghosts in Ms. Pacman will sell for about $12 each.

Ground beef and chicken tacos will be $2.50 each, while steak tacos will be $2.75 each

Brown said the night is a great way to introduce DK Effect customers to Taqueria Mixteca, the restaurant located at 1609 E. Third St.

“We just thought it was a way to combine both businesses,” he said.
