— “America’s Got Talent” contestant Dr. Brandon Rogers was killed in a car crash in Maryland over the weekend, just weeks before his performance on the show was scheduled to air, according to an emotional post from his brother Danni Rogers on Instagram.
“I lost my best friend,” Rogers said.
Rogers, 29, had just finished medical school last year, but was beginning to make a name for himself as an aspiring singer after an Instragram post of him singing Boyz II Men’s hit “On Bended Knee” caught the attention of the R&B group and others.
The group even invited Rogers to perform with them in January at the Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas.
“Our hearts are deeply saddened to learn about the sudden death of Dr. Brandon Rogers in a car accident,” the group posted on Facebook.
“Just a genuinely nice person and a really good singer! Gone too young and gone too soon,” Boyz II Men members said.
“Even for the little time we knew you, you will be sorely missed,” they said.
There’s no word when Rogers’ “America’s Got Talent” episode will air.

— Actors Olivia Munn and Chris Pratt sparked dating rumors when the pair were spotted having dinner over the weekend, but Munn says they are not together.
Just Jared reported that the 37-year-old “Magic Mike” actress took to social media to shut down rumors, and she had receipts from a surprising source.
“1. Not every woman is scorned and upset after a breakup,” she wrote in an Instagram story on Sunday.
Munn added, “2. Not every woman is ‘furious’ at another woman for dating her ex. 3. So even if I was dating @prattprattpratt, some tabloids got me and @annafaris all wrong. 4. Women respect and love each other a lot more than some people like to think.”
After posting the messages to prove her point, Munn shared a conversation between herself and Pratt’s ex-wife, Anna Faris, in which she clarified to Faris that the rumors were not true.
“I wanted to reach out to you personally to tell you the story about me and Chris dating has 0% truth,” Munn wrote in part. “I’m sure you already know it’s not true, or maybe didn’t care either way, but I just wanted to reach out personally to tell you it’s not true.”

Thanking her for being sweet for assuring her, Faris, 41, replied that she would be “thrilled” to have Munn as her “new sister in law” if the rumors had been true.
While it appears Pratt is keeping his bachelor badge for the time being, his ex-wife-to-be returned to the dating world two months after the couple publicly called it quits. Faris was first spotted in October with her cinematographer boyfriend, Michael Barrett. The couple reportedly met in September while working on her forthcoming comedy remake “Overboard.”

LOS ANGELES — She has a name.
Chicago West. https://t.co/3MyLwcIzTh— Kim Kardashian West (@KimKardashian) January 19, 2018
On Tuesday, Kardashian West confirmed the Monday birth of Chicago on her official website.
“Kanye and I are happy to announce the arrival of our healthy, beautiful baby girl,” she said in a statement. “We are incredibly grateful to our surrogate who made our dreams come true with the greatest gift one could give and to our wonderful doctors and nurses for their special care. North and Saint are especially thrilled to welcome their baby sister.”
Chicago West was born Jan. 15 at 12:47 a.m. PT and weighed 7 pounds, 6 ounces. She joins big brother Saint West, 2, and big sister North West, 4.

I LOOOOOOOOOOVE her name 😍😍😍😍 hey Chi (shy) https://t.co/Ikd0ay3DsO— Khloé (@khloekardashian) January 19, 2018
It was confirmed in September that the celebrity couple were expecting a third child via gestational carrier.
People reported that Kardashian West, 37, said her decision to hire a gestational surrogate came after her two high-risk pregnancies.
“I have always been really honest about my struggles with pregnancy,” she said on her website Thursday. “Preeclampsia and placenta accreta are high-risk conditions, so when I wanted to have a third baby, doctors said that it wasn’t safe for my — or the baby’s — health to carry on my own.”
“After exploring many options, Kanye and I decided to use a gestational carrier. Although I have used the term surrogate in the past, a gestational carrier is actually the technical term for a woman who carries a baby that she has no biological relationship to.
“A traditional surrogate donates her egg, is artificially inseminated with the father’s sperm and then carries the baby to term. Since we implanted my fertilized egg in our gestational carrier, our baby is biologically mine and Kanye’s. You can either choose someone that you know or you can go through an agency, like Kanye and I did.

LOS ANGELES — Astronaut Buzz Aldrin got upset with a Delta Air Lines agent after missing a flight at Los Angeles International Airport, according to TMZ video posted Tuesday.
Aldrin was told he wouldn’t be able to get on the flight, which prompted his frustration.
The issue was that it was past the check-in cutoff time at Los Angeles International for the flight, but the agent offered to rebook him on an alternate flight.
“Are you operating an airline here or not?” Aldrin asked on the video. “We’ve been sitting here now 20 minutes waiting for somebody to come and fix a two-minute problem…. This is the most lousy operation I’ve ever seen.”
At one point, Aldrin stands up out of his wheelchair, frustrated about having to be booked on an alternate flight.
A TMZ cameraman later caught up with Aldrin, who seemed to have cooled off. “Look, my son worked for Delta, I know the people quite well,” Aldrin said.

— Dolly Parton has yet another accomplishment to add to her already legendary list: two world records.
Billboard reported the singer and songwriter holds Guinness World Records for the most decades with a Top 20 hit on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart, with six decades, and most hits on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart by a female artist, with 107 hits.
Parton has Top 20 Billboard hits across six consecutive decades, starting with 1967’s “Something Fishy” and ending with a 2016 version of her 1974 song, “Jolene” with Pentatonix. That same 2016 song set the record for her 107th Hot Country Songs chart entry. Her first was “Dumb Blonde” in 1967.
“To receive these two Guinness World Records is so great,” Parton said in a statement. Joining so many wonderful singers and songwriters who have been honoured this way feels so special to me. You never know when you start out with your work how it’s going to turn out, but to have these two world records makes me feel very humbled and blessed!”
Parton’s six-decade run puts her in the company of George Jones, the only other country artist who spent more than five decades on the Hot Country Songs chart.
Speaking to Guinness World Records about her songwriting process, Parton said it comes from her own experiences.
“I’ve always just written from my heart,” she said. “I try not to dwell on just trying to be commercial and what's a radio hit or whatever. Usually when an idea hits me, it comes from my heart, but I still try to be alert and to be aware and to try to be as up-to-date as I can be, and evidently I’m doing alright after all these decades.”
