Cabinet locks recalled because of lock failure

Safety First cabinet locks are being recalled due to lock failure.

Officials said about 900,000 units of the Push ‘N Snap cabinet locks are being recalled. Young children can disengage the cabinet locks allowing access to cabinet contents and posing the risk of injury.

Consumers should stop using the recalled product immediately and urged to immediately store dangerous items out of reach of children.

Water Balz toys recalled

There is a toy recall that needs attention before you wrap Christmas gifts.

Water Balz and its other varieties like Growing Skulls, H2O Orbs and Fabulous Flowers are being recalled because of ingestion risk.

The toys absorb water and can expand 400 times their original size.

The voluntary recall happened after a baby needed surgery after swallowing one last year.

Bed Bath and Beyond, Hobby Lobby and Amazon.com are just some of the places that the toys were sold.

Salmonella prompts recall of Nestle product

Nestle has recalled certain lots of its Nesquick Chocolate Powder drink mix over concerns that a certain ingredient may be contaminated with salmonella.

Nestle said it made the decision after Omya Inc., which supplies Nestle with calcium carbonate for the drink mix, issued a recall for certain lots of the ingredient over salmonella concerns.

Nestle said the recall covers 40.7 oz., 21.8 oz. and 10.9 oz. canisters of Nesquick. All of the recalled products bear an expiration date of "best before Oct. 2014." 

Animal snap bracelets recalled

Animal snap bracelets are being recalled because the metal on the snap band can wear through the fabric covering, exposing sharp edges.

The bracelets were sold at Cost Plus World Market and Cracker Barrel Old Country Store from September 2011 through February 2012.

Consumers are urged to return the product to the store where it was purchased for a full refund.

Toysmith has received eight reports of injuries, including lacerations.

Toyota recalls thousands of vehicles

Toyota is recalling hundreds of thousands of vehicles in the United States.

The recall includes 760,000 RAV 4 SUVs with model years between 2006-2011. Also recalled are 18,000 Lexus HS 250-H models from 2010 because of a suspension problem that could cause crashes.

A Toyota spokesperson said the issues may be connected to nine crashes and three minor injuries in the U.S.

Dealers will repair the issue for free.
